I had such an enjoyable night getting the chance to mix the Frankie Valli tribute act 'Lets hang on' I got to work behind a Digico SD9 (first time in a long time!) and I absolutely felt at home! Lots of sennheiser RF (including 7 iem mixes) the foh system was a kara ground stack array,Â
Minus a little bit of confusion over how the amp rack was patched (which was soon resolved) it all went flawlessly
The event is a 600 mile round trip so was offered the chance of a hotel, there's me thinking I'll just have somewhere to rest my head, instead I was booked into a 5* hotel with over 400 rooms! Fancy!
I really enjoyed this evening and am glad I decided I wanted to gig again, this definitely scratched the itch and there is a lot more to come in to future!
LAS 'TORDERS - WEDDING GIG - TIVERTON
Had great fun last night helping Alex mix an awesome band at a wedding, First time i've been out gigging in a fair while it was good feeling comfortable gettingstraight behind a console again!
it certainly won the award for "the most obscure access" i've had in a while (see photos) but once in the marquee it was very nice (except the bouncy uneven floors!)
only a couple glasses fell victim to the rumble of the subs, i'd say a fairly successful evening! and it looked like people had fun!
